Laura Vaillard, Director and Founder of Medialo Consulting
Laura Vaillard has a vast experience in technology, media, internal and external communications, social media and global communications. Before opening her own communications consultant agency, Medialo Communication, Laura worked at Ketchum Public Relations as a Regional Coordinator for Nokia, AMD, Liberty International Underwriters, Baufest, Banghó and Unilever (Lifebuoy), among other clients. He also worked at Salem Viale González Villanueva PR Agency developing communication strategies for Microsoft and Telefonica, where she gained experience in the technology market.
She also served in the internal communications and human resources department at ExxonMobil and Techint Engineering and Construction, which helped her become familiar with the oil and gas industry and construction market, and learned how to manage and optimize different house organs.
She also has extensive experience working in culture and tourism. While living in the United States, she worked organizing cultural events at Texas Christian University (USA).
As if this wasn´t enough, since 2006 she has maintained a travel blog (http://vidasurrealista.com/), which obtained the third place for the best Travel Blogs Bitacoras Awards in 2008, the most important competition of Spanish speaking blogs . The blog also received two mentions in 2009 and 2010.
Moreover, since 2008 Laura is a professor for different courses for Journalism and Advertising majors at Universidad Católica Argentina including: “Media Business Management”, “Media Projects” (Media Management for journalists)”, ” Preparation and presentation of institutional campaigns “,” Analysis and Management of Social Networks” and a special module for engineering “Communication for engineers ” .
Laura earned her MBA in Communications from the Universidad de Navarra (Spain), a BA in International Public Relations and Advertising and a BA in Psychology from Texas Christian University (Texas, USA).
